Jim, known to many as “Cheetah” in his later years, was a man who believed in the power of ideas, the importance of perseverance, and, above all, the value of helping others. His remarkable career was defined not only by what he built, but by the people, industries, and communities he inspired along the way.
Known as a pioneer in his field, Jim founded 14 companies, including Caremark, and is widely recognized as a founder of the home infusion therapy industry. His entrepreneurial vision helped transform healthcare while creating opportunities that would touch countless lives.
But Cheetah’’s legacy extends far beyond business.
He brought curiosity, generosity, and an unwavering belief in possibility to everything he pursued. As a Strategic Advisor to Dremana Productions, he shared that perspective with our team, offering insight shaped by decades of entrepreneurship and leadership.
His guidance challenged us to think bigger and always remember to “lean into the unknown and embrace our inner-misfit” – as that is where life’s leverage dwells.
Remembering Cheetah: A Lasting Part of The Team Dremana Story
“Andre & I met Jim when we were hired to shoot some video for a new healthcare company in San Antonio. There was an immediate spark of synergy. A twin-flame kind of energy that we knew had to be explored.” explains Dremana Productions co-founder Grace Sharington. “During our on-camera interview, we discovered we both spent our childhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We both had bengal cats. We both loved popcorn & obsessed over good cheese. And we were unapologetic workaholics that thrived in our entrepreneurial roles.”
