Dremana records their first CD. Andre engineers, records, produces, and plays all the instruments. Grace writes lyrics, produces, and sings. Dremana officially opens their recording studio on Chicago’s West side (Humboldt Park) – thanks to Dremana guitar player Karl Geckler, who managed the giant marble company and lived on the 20,000 square foot top floor.

Grace and Andre collaborated on their first song. The band “Dremana” was born. They also begin charging a fee to record other musicians in their small digital studio.

Grace and Andre meet at a formal Christmas party in Chicago. Andre had just come from work, and amongst a sea of tuxedos, wore work boots & faded jeans covered with caulking. Grace was wearing an evening gown.

Grace begins her job as a songwriter for RCA Record subsidiary Dead Dog Records/Tanglewood Studios in Brookfield, ILL. where she wrote songs with Gillette, Jamie Principle, Maximillion, and other hip-hop & dance music artists.

Andre lands at O’Hare airport from Lithuania, ready to start his new life in the United States. He moved to Chicago to secure a steady job in construction as a mason.

1996 – Grace returns to hometown Chicago, ILL. after living in Hamburg, Germany. During her time in Germany, she wrote 2 songs for platinum-selling rock band The Scorpions, and completed the rock opera “Another God” with award-winning Hollywood feature film composer Ralph Rieckermann.
